With the popularity of the legalization of growing cannabis, more and more growers are joining the industry. Growers must learn more about growing cannabis. Do you know the stages of cannabis cultivation?
The growth of cannabis is made up of seed germination stage, seedling stage, vegetative stage and flowering stage. Their life-cycle last about 4-8months (almost 12-32 weeks), it seems a little bit longer. Grower should be patient just like take care of the baby. They have to learn a lot to take care of them, about lighting, choose seed, soils, curing, nutrient and so on.
Like any other plant, growing cannabis starts with an unremarkable seed. These tiny cannabis seeds that may surprise you by germinating in 2-3 days, or they may sleep up to 2 weeks before germinating slowly. Don't blame them for not sprouting. You need to reflect on whether you provide a good environment for them without letting them lose at the starting line?
You need to keep them in a damp and dark environment, both are indispensable. After a few days(about 3-5 days), please watch if they have small tails. If they did, transfer them to damp and fertile soil.
Once your seeds have germinated, they will grow to seedling stage lasts for 2-3 weeks (also called clone stage) and have to be exposed to light. Let them enjoy the light. Growing indoor need 16 hours light time during this stages . At this time, are you also thinking about what kind of lamp and spectrum is needed for cannabis at this stage?
Horti-Green HL11-30 is designed for cannabis clone stage promoting germination and sprouting.
HL11 has a full-spectrum white light that mimics the sun, making it exactly what your plants crave. The spectrum is based on cooler (blue spectrum) white light, making it ideal for the vegetative and cloning stages of plant growth. The spectrum comes very close to natural daylight, truly simulating what plants have adapted to over many generations. It is especially well suited for seedling growth.
Finish the seedling stage, cannabis plants transfer to Vegetative stage. At this stage they will grow many leaves. During this stage, it will focus on leaf production. Because they have to produce a lot of leaves to absorb enough photons (sunlight) to generate the energy needed to produce large flowers. Growing indoor need 16-18 hours light time one day.
At last but not the end, they move to flowering stage. They focus on producing the flowers that growers the most expected part. We all know no pain no gain. When you’re ready for plants to start the flowering stage, change your lights to a 12/12 cycle (12 hours with the light on and 12 hours with it off ).
wering stage of cannabis, using full spectrum flowering distribution promotes nutrient growing of cannabis plants, designed with an emphasis on the red and far red range to ensure the quality and quantity of flowering yields. With a peak wavelength of 400nm is designed to provide beneficial photogenically responses by creating a mild stress response in plants. research shows increased THC content in cannabis plants.
HL06 slim linear form factor design to reduce shading in greenhouse application.
At the flowering stage of cannabis, using full spectrum flowering distribution promotes nutrient growing of cannabis plants, designed with an emphasis on the red and far red range to ensure the quality and quantity of flowering yields. With a peak wavelength of 400nm is designed to provide beneficial photogenically responses by creating a mild stress response in plants. research shows increased THC content in cannabis plants.
Horti-UV Pro HL17-30 UVA LED bar is typically designed for the cannabis flowering stage to increase THC or CBD content, the application is very flexible from green house to indoor room and grow tent etc.
UV light has been shown to increase secondary metabolite activity in many plants. UV short wavelength irradiation triggers the plant's stress response system makes the plant starts to protect itself from the abiotic stress. Increased stress level results in increased metabolite activity, therefore higher THC content will be accumulated in flowers
