What is a Quantum Board LED?
A quantum board LED is a newer alternative LED grow light to traditional COB grow lights. The quantum board is a large circuit board, chips are scattered across the board, and the coverage area is larger. Growers like that kind of Quantum LED panels without fans. The importance of Waterproof Quantum board
Water meeting electricity together may cause disaster, but sometimes it will be life-threatening. For LED lights, water can ruin the light quickly or over time. Waterproof LED lighting is the solution to the risk of electric shock and extends the life of lighting fixtures. The waterproofing level may vary greatly depending on the IP level. It is well known that LED lights offer many benefits, such as energy saving. They save electricity and improve savings, as well as durability. Another benefit is that they work well even when exposed to different solid and liquid particles. For example, you may often see some waterproof LED lights with an IP rating of IP65 such as the LED street light, LED flood lights, Quantum LED grow light, Intercanopy LED grow light, Top LED grow lighting, etc.
IP Ratings for LED lights
They have different protection (IP) levels for indoor and outdoor LED lights. The IP rating of LED light measures the protection degree of LED lamp against liquid (water) and solid (dirt, dust, etc.) objects. The IP class has two numbers, the first number (0 to 6), is in the reliable IP class. It shows resistance to solid objects. The second number (0 to 8) indicates water resistance.
1. IP67 grade LED lights:
IP67-rated LED lights provide comprehensive solid and water protection. They are similar to IP65 and IP64. The protection for liquids is the same. However, compared with IP65, LEDs with this grade are more resistant to water. Even if immersed in 1m deep water, the water does not affect the LED lamp
The most common waterproof LED lights are IP65 LED lights. They provide maximum protection against solid particles and are also well resistant to liquid particles. They are suitable for domestic and commercial use.
2.IP65 grade LED lights:
These lights are ideal for home and commercial use. The IP65 rating provides complete protection against foreign bodies and water jets. The water treated by the 6.3mm nozzle will not cause damage to the LED lamp.
For greenhouse and indoor farming, it’s better to use IP65 LED grow lights. When you are purchasing Quantum LED grow light, Its protection rating should be IP65.
