Plants produce oxygen and provide our food, but what do they need to live? How well they produce depends in part on the growth environment and the plant's natural habits. so we can improve yield of plants by providing the plant with the conditions they need to thrive.five essential elements of plant growth are respectively: temperature, moisture, nutrients, air and light (including natural light and artificial light or led grow light).
Temperature: temperature is an intuitive factor that affects the growth of plants. it makes a big difference to photosynthesis of plants . If the temperature is too high, the plants will wither. If the temperature is too low, the plant will stop all metabolism and eventually freeze to death .
Water: we all know that water is the carrier of plants.any material in the plant body needs water to transport. if plants lack of water to act as material carrier, plants , of course , can't grow normally. if plants are watered to much beyond their limits, plants can not bear and maybe the roots of plants will rot and then affect plants' regular growth.
Nutrition: all kinds of minerals, fertilizers, and materials used up by respiration and photosynthesis form the basic nutritions that plants need in their grow process. obviously ,you will get different results when you grow your tomatoes at rich manure area and sterile area.
Air: air ,including air composition ,is also an important factor that influences the quality of plants. many indoor growers have noticed that the concentration and ratio of oxygen and carbon dioxide have a significant effect on plants'growth. and researches indicate that the concentration and ratio of oxygen and carbon dioxide will influence the photosynthesis and respiration of plants and then impact plants .
Light: light is like engine of plants . after plants given the conditions mentioned above ,we need to give plants the right lighting spectrum and light intensity .
